Work allocation is a central aspect in Gobal Software Development (GSD) project planning. This thesis presents a method for the model-based evaluation and selection of work allocation alternatives in GSD. Based on a review of current GSD practices and existing research approaches, a set of models is defined and instantiated using real-world GSD-experiences. Finally, the model instances are evaluated in an industrial GSD context.
